New Bible Study Courses

On Thursday evenings, two Bible based DVD courses produced by Bishop Robert Barron. The first, lasting four weeks, discusses the seven deadly sins and the seven lively virtues to counteract them. The second one, lasting three weeks, discusses who God is and why God matters, refuting attacks on God’s existence. These two courses will be followed by, “Ancient Roads from Christ to Constantine”, journey to important historical places of Christianity.

Classes will be held in meeting room 4 of the school from 7:30pm to 9pm.

Starting on Tuesday mornings beginning April 12, First Corinthians is an 11 session study of the First Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians. The conflicts of the early Christians in Corinth are in many ways similar to our struggles as Christians today. In this letter St. Paul taught the Corinthians about grace; the Church as the body of Christ; and, the most powerful gift of all, the Eucharist.

Classes will be held in the parish media center above the CCD office from 10:30am to 12noon.

To register please call the Rectory. For questions please call Harold Hochstein at 914-299-0771. All are welcome, you need not be a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi to attend!
