Ash Wednesday & Lent

ASH WEDNESDAY falls on February 17th this year. The distribution of ashes will occur during the Mass times of 8:00am, 12:10pm, 4:30pm, 7:00pm & 8:00pm (Spanish) all in the Main Church.

ASH WEDNESDAY (and Good Friday) is a day of fast that binds all Catholics from the age of 18 up to 59 years old (health permitting). A fast consists of one meatless meal, and some nourishment two other times that should not be add up to equal to a full mean. Medicine and water do not break the fast.

ALL FRIDAYS OF LENT are days to abstain from eating meat binding all Catholics 14 years old and older. A simple and meatless meal is a type of penitential practice to help us spiritually prepare for our yearly Easter celebrations.

FRIDAY MASS & STATIONS OF THE CROSS On all the Fridays of Lent Mass will be celebrated at 8am and 12:10pm in the Church. Stations of the Cross will be celebrated at 7pm in the Church. On the First Fridays of the month, Stations of the Cross will be celebrated together with the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
